Delivery Charges - We tell you exactly how much you will need to pay at every stage!

Delivery charges are quoted for each item, and the total is worked out in the basket as you go. There is now a £10 limit on delivery charges - you will not be charged more, no matter what you order.  In addition, some smaller items have a £1 flat rate regardless of order size.  Sometimes we offer free delivery as a special deal.

We try to keep charges as low as possible, but some items are heavy or difficult to pack and the charges need to reflect this. 

How safe are fragile items?

We have many years experience in wrapping goods for transit.  Some items are only sold with a case for additional protection.  We use the original manufacturers boxes where possible, and recycle what packaging we can.  It is very rare for anything we send out to be damaged on arrival.

Delivery Time

Normal delivery time is normally quoted as three to five working days.  We try to beat that whenever we can, and we usually do, but we can not guarantee it. 

Working days are Monday to Friday - if you place an order in the evening or at the weekend, we can not start processing until around 10.00 on the next working day.

Small items are sent through the Post Office and should arrive with the postman (or at least his little red van).

Larger items are sent by Parcel Force - you will need to sign for the parcel, so you may need to plan this.  We can deliver to a work address, if this is likely to be problem.  Our ParcelForce items can be tracked live at www.parcelforce.com

Please note that sometimes things happen that are beyond our control.  We will try to let you know if there has been an unexpected delay. So far this year we have coped with strikes, floods and Belgian Public Holidays, but the most frequent delay is always where customers did not give us the correct address: please double check this, especially the Post Code if you are giving an alternative address.

 

Need it quickly?

On small items it is usually enough for you to tell us that it is urgent and we will do out best to get it to you as quickly as possible. 

For larger items we offer an express service for a supplement of £5.00.  This will jump the queue for packing and the parcel will be sent on Parcel Force 24 hour service so it should reach next working day.  Our Express Service is only available for orders placed over the phone so we can check stock, collection times etc while we are talking to you. 

We can also arrange for Saturday or early morning delivery if needed -call us for details

Buying a present for someone?

Father Christmas shops with us every year, so we understand the importance of secrecy.  We can't normally gift wrap things, but we can ensure that the parcel is not recognisable if needed - tell us when you order.  We can also address the parcel to someone else if you wish.
